I think TurboTax is a great alternative for some businesses that don't want the expense of a personal accountant, and it was really easy for me to get set up on the software and take advantage of it to file early and get those deductions.I contacted Intuit support (80) and apparently this is a known issue with TT 2021. So it's already basically set up for you, which is a huge convenience and it's as easily as download and go so long as you have Windows software. TurboTax makes it really easy to import and download information you already have in QuickBooks and from previous returns. So I was able to be satisfied with just the software. So that was really the main reason that I like TurboTax is that it really goes through all of those points, and it's really cheaper than hiring a professional accountant in my case. I also considered H&R Block software, but because I had already used TurboTax for my personal taxes and I was starting up a new business, I was already familiar with the platform and easily transitioned to TurboTax Business software.Īs a startup business, I wanted to make sure that I got all of the deductions that I was entitled to, and TurboTax really walks you through all of the available possibilities and you definitely don't want to leave any stone unturned.
